Description
The New 44 from Fountaine Pajot represents the next generation of cruising catamarans, designed as a perfect island for living on the water. This 44-foot sailing catamaran strikes an impressive balance between offshore capability and at-anchor comfort, with every detail meticulously crafted to enhance the shared pleasure of sailing.
With its distinctive hull chine design, the New 44 offers increased interior volume without sacrificing performance. The generous 78m² mainsail, 45m² genoa, and optional 130m² gennaker provide excellent sailing capabilities, ensuring you'll enjoy both performance and elegance from your first tack.
The elevated helm station is thoughtfully divided into separate steering and sail handling areas, providing excellent visibility while maintaining connection with guests in both the cockpit and lounge deck. This strategic positioning gives you perfect control while keeping you engaged with your crew.
Living spaces aboard the New 44 are exceptional. The three-meter opening between the saloon and aft cockpit creates a seamless indoor-outdoor experience, while the central island in the galley offers both functionality and socializing opportunities. The lounge deck accommodates up to eight people with additional sunbathing areas, making it the largest Fountaine Pajot has ever designed for this class.
Available in both Maestro (owner's version) and Quatuor (four-cabin) layouts, the New 44 provides flexible accommodation options. The Maestro version features a spacious 15m² owner's cabin with an innovative multi-purpose forward cabin that can serve as a workshop, office, or children's bunk room.
Technology integration is impressive with up to 2000W of solar panels standard, extendable to 2300W with optional trampoline panels. The optional ODSea+ electric drivetrain offers an eco-friendly alternative with twin 25kW electric motors backed by 21kWh lithium batteries.
Replacing the Elba 45 but priced 20-25% lower (approximately $820,000-$950,000 delivered to the US), the New 44 delivers tremendous value while maintaining Fountaine Pajot's signature comfort, elegance, and performance. Set your course for new horizons aboard this ideal blue water cruising platform.

I'm interested in buying this catamaran but have questions
There are many ways to buy a catamaran and the procedure varies between manufacturers. It's a process that takes time and you should not be afraid of starting talks with the manufacturer.
Here are some common questions you might have:
Can I afford it? Talk to the manufacturer and they can advise you on financing options.
Can I sail it? Arrange a test sail with the manufacturer, or ask them directly what kind of support and education they offer for boat buyers.
If you need anything else, be it more details, an introduction to the manufacturer, a shipyard visit, a test sail, or help with customatization, let us know on the Help Me page after clicking below and we’ll help you take the next step.
